A huge “thank you” to the UKAN Environment team for coming out in support of Operation Bedroll. Making plarn (plastic bag yarn) is a big part of this process and we appreciate each and every one of you that came out!
For those of you who don’t know, Operation Bedroll is an organization in the keys that takes single-use plastic bags, cuts them into plarn (plastic bag yarn), and crochets them into sleeping mats that can be handed out to our friends and neighbors that are experiencing homelessness.
We’d like to extend another invitation to all of you to come out to Plarn-a-palooza on May 24th from 5 until 8PM at Key Largo Library to help us make even more plarn to get to the crocheters. We will be teaching a few folks how to crochet if they would like to learn, but our main focus will be on the plarn.
Hope to see you there!
